A police procedural like no other, Hudson & Rex, produced by City TV is all set to air a new episode soon. With the cases being featured becoming more gripping with each episode, get ready for a new one that’s going to leave St.John’s Police Department in complete chaos.
Airing on television since March 25th, 2019, Hudson & Rex is a crime show that revolves around Charlie Hudson and his K9 dog, Rex. Both of them meet by chance and become the best partners any crime series has ever featured. With Charlie’s quick thinking and Rex’s sensitive nose and ears, there’s no case that the duo cannot solve.
Inspired by its Austrian-Italian counterpart, the show is just as famous as the 1994 series and even stars the great descendant of the original dog that played the role of Rex for the first time. Most of the filming of Hudson & Rex continues to take place in locations spread over St. Johns.
Hudson & Rex Season 5: Recap of Previous Episodes
In the previous episodes, we see Bertrand calling Charlie in the middle of the night to let him know about the new information he had on Alison Anders’ disappearance. Charlie warns him that things won’t go well if this was a joke to which Bertrand replies that he was ready to make things right even if it meant risking many things. He calls Charlie to the bar.
When Charlie arrives at the place, he notices that Bertrand is nowhere to be seen. Rex uses his sense of smell to locate Bertrand, who was lying on the floor. As mysterious as the situation now was, Charlie finds a piece of paper with 106 Harrison Street written on it. He bursts into teh house at that location but finds it empty.
Rex goes over to the backyard and digs into the ground, Charlie follows him and finds Alison’s doll as well as a skeleton buried deep into the soil. When the skeleton is sent for testing, Hudson is informed that the skeleton didn’t belong to Alison and instead was of an adult female, possibly Dolly Miles.
Charlie heads back to the house on Harrison street and finds one of the neighbors of Alison’s family. She informs him about the house’s owners, which were Bob Lowther and Allie. When asked for a hint as to where they could be, she lets them know about their cabin in the woods.
Fiona arrives at the police headquarters and Hudson gives her the doll he found at the house. Bertrand’s forensic report arrives and the cause of his death is revealed to be a blow to the head. The suspicion lands on Trevor Miles and they find out that he had purchased a large portion of land on the outskirts.
As he heads over to the cabin, Charlie spots Alison trying to chop wood. He tries to talk to her but she runs away and falls when her foot is caught in the wires. Hudson frees her and takes her to the hospital. Alison is surprised to see that she was classified as missing as she was living with her dad. Fiona barges into the room and Alison is unable to recognize her as her mom.
