Road Home Episodes 12 & 13: The Plot
Gui Xiao and Lu Yan Chen were classmates. They met for the first time in the middle school playground and fell in love at first sight. Their love grew deeper and stronger throughout college.
After graduation, Lu Yan Chen decided to become a special forces officer and traveled to another country for training. They had to end their relationship at the time due to some incidents. They parted ways and went on with their lives.
Lu Yan Chen had intense physical training to become a special police officer. Gui Xiao has chosen a career in finance. They reunite after a long gap of ten years. Lu Yan Chen is now a bomb tech police officer, and Gui Xiao is an Investment Director. They still have feelings for each other and get close again. They give another chance to their relationship even if it is long distance.
Due to some unsettled debt, Lu Yan Chen’s parents decided on his marriage to Zhao Min Shan. But Lu Yan Chen has only loved one girl from the beginning. Gui Xiao helps Lu Yan Chen to settle the debt and clear the case. Gui Xiao and Lu Yan Chen are together and planning to get married. Road Home Episodes 12 & 13: Recap
In the last episode of Road Home, Lu Yan Chen drops Gui Xiao at home. After a while, Lu Yan Chen asks if she wants to return to Qining with him. He has to return to help Xiaonan with the household registration permit. Qining is like his second home. He desires to show her around places such as the snowfield, sunset, and more. As her working hours are flexible, she is ready to leave with him.
They leave for Qining early in the morning because they have a long journey ahead. Lu Yan Chen needs two years to pay off his debts and save enough money to marry her. She blushed. Lu Yan Chen suggests they share a room if she consents to marry him. If she is not, they will move to a separate room. When they arrive, he introduces her to his comrade as his girlfriend.
He talks about Lu Yan Chen’s heroism. It worries Gui Xiao. On a snowy night, they share a passionate kiss. Gui Xiao felt the bullet scar on his back. Scars are common among SWAT team members who serve their country. They don’t reveal any details to the family.
