Popstar Ricky Martin seems to be in severe legal trouble! The popular artist has denied any such allegations in a domestic abuse restraining order that has been filed in Puerto Rico and further believes he will be fully vindicated. As per reports, a complaint was made under Law 54, also known as Domestic Abuse Prevention and Intervention. However, due to the nature of the bill, authorities did not reveal the petitioner’s identity.
The singer’s representative has completely denied these allegations while stating that the allegations against Ricky Martin that led to a protection order are completely false and fabricated. It has been further stated that they are very confident that when the facts come out in this matter, their client Ricky Martin will be fully vindicated. This news comes after the artist has been sued by his ex-manager.
Ricky Martin Has Been Sued by His Ex-Manager
This is not the only legal action that Ricky Martin faces, the Livin La Vida Loca hitmaker than 3 million dollars by his former manager, Rebecca Drucker, who claims she was not paid for allegedly saving and reviving his music career.
His former manager accuses the popular singer-songwriter of a “flagrant” breach of contract and is seeking damages “over $3m, which is subjected to discovery and accounting, and in an amount to be proven at trial.
Drucker served as the pop star’s manager and top adviser for a long time between 2014 and 2018 before she resigned after what was described as a “particularly ugly incident in Dubai”. It has been claimed hay Martin’s personal and professional life were in absolute turmoil” before Drucker came to his rescue, but Drucker further claims that she was not properly paid commissions for her efforts, as per the lawsuit. As per the lawsuit, Martin has completely and maliciously refused to pay Rebecca the millions of dollars in commissions that he owes her under their management agreement.
