Rock The Block Season 4 Episode 2 Recap
At the beginning of the second episode, Page Turner and Mitch Glew discussed their plans and decided to go for half bathrooms instead of renovating the whole. They make accordion doors. So do Anthony Elle and Michel Smith Boyd.
Jonathan Knight and Kristina Crestin created French doors. Sarah Baeumler and Bryan made a two-way fireplace to let the people see through it, look at their faces in the fireplace, and enjoy the view. Another feature used by them in the entryway was the stack-stone that they had also used in the kitchen.
All teams created fireplaces that differed from each other. For instance, Kristina and Jonathan’s brick fireplace was supposed to be black, but they ended up with brownish bricks. So, they used clack color in the dining room to balance the colors.
The corner day bed made by Michel and Anthony has so much extra space. Mina finds it useful for a dog, but the team does not intend to do so. It can also work for hosting, meeting, or only chatting. However, they know the material cost and the contrast colors.
Michel and Anthony used Colorado beetle kill wood for the fireplace and created a moody entryway. Kristina and Jonathan used the amount they won in the previous episode to add a built-in speaker.
Page and Mitch used bookshelves surrounding the fireplace from top to bottom, and it is trendy. The page dedicated this library to her mom. However, Jenn liked the concept. The stone sink is modern, and they had to abruptly make the shower due to the limited period.
Still, Mitch and Page managed to create a power bath. However, the big glass windows bring enough light and help the residents connect with nature. Despite the shortcomings, judges select them, they win $1,000, and head toward the next challenge.

Rock The Block Season 4 Episode 2 Review
We agreed with the judge’s critiques but not the winners. The huge selling points for the house are the mountains that can be seen through the windows. The teams must make the most out of it in different ways.
Mitch Glew and Page Turner must have made the accordion doors to provide personal space to the residents with a temporary separation. The fireplace made by Sarah and Bryan blocked the view through the window. It was chunky and loud. The regret was visible on Sarah’s face.
The stacked stone used by Sarah and Bryan in the entryway is not perfect. However, it is appropriate for the entryway. Floating shelves could make it look better. So, the stack-stone got used in the entryway and down the stairs. It looks like they took it too far!
But, Sarah and Bryan reduced the costs by spending only $12k, which is half that of the expenditure made by the other teams. The color of the bricks for the fireplace made by Jonathan and Kristina may not bother the viewers that do not look for every atomic detail. However, it is not possible to capture every tone and texture on the camera.
Stones instead of bricks could go with the mountains. Sarah had to agree with the limestone, and she ended up building a fireplace she did not intend to due to lack of time in the show. The teams cannot get every material within the time limit. So, it is a disadvantage.
The library made by Mitch and Page was sophisticated. It can be weird for people that do not like to display books like in a bookstore. The buyer must forcefully fill the space with books.
Only Jonathan and Kristina touched the curtains out of the four teams. It might be because they wanted the curtains to go with the sunset.

Page and Mitch placed books from top to bottom on the walls of the entryway. Many viewers might get disappointed, though it looked sophisticated. The critiques provided by the judges were genuine, and they knew how to choose the one. The cast description shows that the second season of ‘Rock The Block’ contains strong contestants who are professional enough to compete.
