The release of tvN’s new drama “Resident Playbook,” based on the popular series “Hospital Playlist,” might be delayed again. According to SPOTV News, the show starring Go Youn Jung, Kang You Seok, and Shin Si Ah is now expected to come out next year.
The broadcasting schedule reveals that after the current weekend drama “The Midnight Romance in Hagwon” concludes, “The Auditors” will be its successor.
TvN plans to air Jung Hae In and Jung So Min’s “Mom’s Friend’s Son” (literal title), followed by “Jung Nyeon” (romanized title) starring Kim Tae Ri, Shin Ye Eun, Ra Mi Ran, and Moon So Ri. The year’s end lineup includes Joo Ji Hoon and Jung Yu Mi’s “Love on a Single Log Bridge” (literal title).
A source from tvN commented on May 16, addressing the situation by stating, “The broadcast period of ‘Resident Playbook’ is undecided.
“Resident Playbook” was scheduled for release in the first half of the year. However, the drama’s launch faced delays due to significant staffing shortages in major hospitals caused by a wave of mass resignations among medical residents.
In March, tvN had already announced a postponement, shifting the expected air date to the latter half of the year. The ongoing issues have led to further uncertainties regarding its premiere, pushing the potential release into the next year.
