A new character from Eunha’s past life has made his appearance in the manhwa. Jin Parang is here, but this time his first meeting with Eunha is different, which means that the future has been changed.
Jin Parang turns out to be an annoying and disrespectful child, but Eunha beats some sense into him, literally, and now they are both on good terms (at least according to the adults). Jin and Eunha would now go to the same school, which means that their partnership from the previous life would bloom once again, taking Eunha one step closer to his final goal.
Relife Player Chapter 40 was released on April 27, 2023, and we see some more character development from the manhwa. The story is currently focused on building the plot rather than action and so we can expect some more details on Eunha’s previous life along with the details on how the future has changed in the upcoming chapters. Relife Player Chapter 40: Recap
In the previous chapter, Eunha attacked Jin Parang thinking he was some thief who snuck into his Grandma’s house, but this confusion got cleared when his Grandma explained that she had brought Jin with her when she found him on the streets all alone and hurt.
Eunha’s parents tell her that she should have informed them about it earlier to avoid such a situation, but she just ignores the question. Eunha remembers that this town is Jin’s hometown, and so he never thought he would meet him in such a way.
Jin notices Eunha staring at him, so he gets angry and shouts at him, asking him to stop and saying that he won’t share his chicken with anyone. Eunha’s Grandma tries to calm him down while telling him not to use such words while Eunha continues to stare at him. Eunha’s Grandma explains that Eunha’s resting eyes are usually on the rough side, and so it’s not something to be scared of, and she walks away.
Jin insults Eunha’s Grandma and continues eating, but this infuriates Eunha. He thinks of how he already considered Jin, a dog, but he has now crossed the limit by talking about his Grandma like this. Eunha decides to teach Jin some manners, which would be good in the long run, and so he stands up and tells his Grandma that he’d be going outside to play with Parang. His Grandma agrees, but Jin refuses to go, but Eunha grabs him by his collar and threatens him to come along.
Eunha drags Jin out of the house and throws him on the road. Jin’s food falls on the ground, making it inedible, which makes him cry as he shouts at Eunha that people don’t even disturb dogs while they eat.
Eunha says that people don’t disturb dogs because they can bite them, and Jin is not a dog, so there’s no worry, but Eunha considers him worse than a dog by the way he talks to his Grandma. Eunha raises a barrier around him and Jin to avoid any sound reaching inside the house, and then he begins the discipline process.
Jin prepares to fight Eunha, but he stands no chance. He feels as if he’s getting hit by a cannonball, even when Eunha uses a normal bottle. Eunha beats him up he learns some discipline.
Jin tries to shout for help, but the voice doesn’t reach anyone because of the barrier. Eunha asks him to use telepathy to talk to everyone, but Jin says that he doesn’t know how to use it, which reminds Eunha of his previous life, and he thinks Jin lied to him in it, so he hits Jin again for this offense.
The next day, Parang aches all over his body while the adults try to think about his education. Parang refuses to go to school, but he goes silent after looking at Eunha’s stare. The adults discuss that Parang was bullied in his previous schools, and so he hates going there again, and so Eunha stands up and tells him that he will go along with him this time. Jin stays silent due to his fear, and so everyone agrees with Eunha.
