Promise In The Summer Episode 10 is set to release very soon! Premiering its first episode on March 15, 2023, this new and upcoming Chinese Drama is a remake of an older Chinese Drama titled ‘Master Devil Do Not Kiss Me,’ which came out in 2017.

Both the 2017 version and the latest 2023 version are based on a web novel written by Jin Xiao Mo titled ‘Master Devil Don’t Kiss Me.’ Airing episodes every day, Promise In The Summer is set to release 24 episodes in total.

Fans are dying to know what will happen next in the lives of our favorite high schoolers, where one is called the ‘devil,’ while the other is rather eccentric. As both of their worlds collide, how will they handle the situation? Will the saying ‘opposites attract’ eventually end up applying to these two as romance sparks?

Synopsis

Chu Xia (Liu Nian), our female lead, is a poor tearaway milk delivery girl, and Han Qi Lu (Ma Ha Dong), our male lead, is a ruthless corporate heir known to his classmates as Master Devil. The two of them are brought together by an odd turn of events.

Chu Xia, after a tragic series of events, suddenly finds herself homeless and an orphan, with no one left to turn to. However, as her mother’s last wish, much to Han Qi Lu’s dismay, the Han family decides to take Chu Xia in until she is old enough to attend college.

Nevertheless, things quickly spiral out of control for him when his parents insist that Chu Xia attend the same elite private school that Han Qi Lu currently rules over. Everyone at the school, most of all the Master Devil himself, is repulsed by Chu Xia and her eccentric behavior.

Although the elite school is quick to judge her and her background, Chu Xia does not back down from trying her best and being herself. Chu Xia’s people skills and her street-smart attitude help her get out of endless jams, making her some friends in the process!

Would Chu Xia scare off Han Qi Lu and his classmates, or will she use her special and unique quirks to win them all over? Could the conflict between Chu Xia and Master Devil eventually blossom into something more than just mere classmates who share the same home?

Cast

Liu Nian

Born in Zhengzhou, Henan, China, Liu Nian is a singer-turned-actress who plays the role of An Chu Xia, our quirky female lead. Through the AKB48 China Audition, she became a trainee with AKB48 China in March 2018. On July 24, 2018, she joined Produce 101 China (2018) and qualified in position 42. She is a first-generation member of AKB48 Team SH.

In 2020, she enrolled in Produce Camp, and when the competition’s final broadcast aired, she ranked #12 nationwide. Since then, Promise in the Summer has been Lui Nian’s first-ever acting gig.

Ma Hao Dong

Chinese actor Ma Hao Dong was born on January 18, 1999, in Rizhao, Shandong Province. Playing the role of our master devil Han Qi Lu himself, Hao Dong initially wanted to pursue a career in gymnastics, but he ultimately decided to attend the Beijing Film Academy, where he studied Performance Arts.

He made his acting debut in the drama “Weapon & Soul: Season 2” in 2017. Since then, he has made appearances in the drama films “Dive” (2019) and “My Bossy Wife” (2022).
