Prince Harry’s much-awaited book, Spare, has a release date and is currently up for pre-order. The honest book, issued by Penguin Random House, promises to take readers through the Duke of Sussex’s “amazingly personal and emotionally engaging narrative.”
It’s understandable why readers have been eagerly awaiting the 38-year-old Prince’s autobiography, which will provide them with an “intimate and passionate” first-person narrative of his experiences over the years.
Harry’s autobiography, which was ghostwritten by JR Moehringer, touches on everything from the loss of his mother to his choice to dress as a Nazi and is expected to spark controversy within the Royal Family.
According to the publisher, the book’s title will provide an intimate look into Harry’s life. It will serve as “the ultimate record of the adventures, experiences, losses, and teachings that have helped shape him.”
Prince Harry’s Spare Book Release Date
The book that a lot of people have been anticipating is arriving sooner than you might think. The release of Prince Harry’s book was originally scheduled for November, but it was postponed due to the passing of Queen Elizabeth II (his grandmother) on September 8.
After months of rumors, publisher Penguin Random House officially announced that Harry’s new autobiography would be published on January 10, 2023, in 16 different languages.
The release date is just a few days after January 8, 2020, which marks three years since Harry and Meghan left the Royal Family. Despite the fact that JR Moehringer, an American author, ghostwrote Spare, Prince Harry has agreed to narrate it.
For those who would like to hear the book straight from the source, the Duke has prepared an audio version of his book, which details his very own tale and includes chapters on his mother’s untimely death and difficult days in Afghanistan.
Throughout his entire life, Prince Harry has worn the label of “Spare.” It is customary to refer to the future king and their sibling as “the heir and the spare” or “the spare to the heir.” Having several “spares” in the past, when the disease was widespread, and child death was common, ensured that the family’s line wouldn’t stop.
Pre-orders for Spare are currently being taken at all of the main book retailers, including Amazon, Waterstones, and WHSmith. The Prince Harry-narrated audiobook is also available for pre-order on Audible for £39.99 without the need for a membership plan or just £7.99 with one.
What Is Prince Harry’s Book about?
Penguin Random House claims that Spare is Harry’s perspective on his life as a member of the Royal Family. The autobiography begins in the days following the passing of Princess Diana (his mother) and takes us on a journey across his life.
It is praised for being written with “raw, uncompromising honesty.” It is predicted to be a bombshell for the royal family, but rumors claim it was written with Harry’s warmth. It is particularly harsh on Prince William, according to a source close to the book, while King Charles is shown as better than him.
According to the leaks, Harry says the following in his book: “[William] pulled me by the collar, tearing my necklace, and he pushed me to the floor. When I fell on the dog’s bowl, my back was cut by the fragments as they shattered”.
William allegedly ordered Harry to fight back, but Harry resisted, and William left before coming back “looking sorry and apologetic.” In actuality, though, the only way to learn more about what Harry says happened behind closed doors is to pre-order the Prince’s upcoming book now and receive it the day it is published.
Another shocking revelation from the book’s leaked copy stated that Princess Kate and Prince William “howled” at Prince Harry’s Nazi costume, which he wore to a costume ball in 2005. Harry reportedly calls it “one of the worst mistakes” of his life.
The revenues from SPARE will be donated by Prince Harry to British organizations. The Duke of Sussex has given $1,500,000 to Sentebale, a charity that he and Prince Seeiso formed in memory of their mothers and aids helpless children and teenagers living with HIV/AIDS in Botswana.
Additionally, Prince Harry will contribute £300,000 to the charitable charity WellChild. He has served as the Royal Patron of WellChild for 15 years, allowing, whenever possible, the treatment of kids and teenagers with complicated medical requirements to take place at home rather than in a hospital.
