Looking to give a second chance to those K-Pop Idols who suffered major blows and couldn’t survive past some difficult challenges or out-of-control circumstances like the pandemic- Peak Time is the first Idol audition program where dormant or disbanded teams come together to compete as boy bands and artists get to perform on stage again and crank up their popularity.
Also, bringing the chance for freshly debuted rookies to come into the limelight, Peak Time offers an equal opportunity to all these boy bands to redeem themselves and prove their worth.
This ongoing survival show also provides them the means to make the best use of this privilege by offering the chance of tutelage under some of the biggest names in the industry, veterans like- Cho Kyu Hyun (Super Junior), Jay Park, Tiffany Young (Girls’ Generation), Lee Gi Kwang (Highlight), Kim Sung Gyu (Infinite), Ryan S Juhn, Song Min Ho (WINNER) and Moon Byul (Mamamoo), appearing in the show as judges.
Along with this major benefit, there is also the assistance of world-class experts in producing, performing, and visual directing to guide the teams to present their best efforts on screen. An all-time favorite and much loved, Lee Seungi hosts Peak Time, keeping the rising tensions in control and entertainment high.
Under this reality show, what’s new is that male idol who have already debuted participate together in their groups with temporary new names assigned to them to maintain anonymity and compete for viewers’ favor with their talent and performance charms.
It is a tough competition, and Peak Time brings a new challenge for the participating teams every episode, pitting the boy bands against each other and eliminating the ones not making the cut. Peak Time Episode 8 – Recap
The elimination in the 7th episode causing a reset in the rankings, making the benefits and scores of the first phase null, and in the 8th episode of Peak Time, participating teams are introduced to their third mission- ‘The New Song Battle,’ where the teams get to perform a brand new, freshly produced song of their own to compete with and charm the audience.
All ten teams, now divided under two leagues- A and B, with five teams under each league, are pitted against each other, and energetic, enthralling performances ensue as the teams shake the stage.
