The Call may be better than any of Park Shin Hye’s work. The movie had reminded the audience of their worst nightmares. Based on the 2011 British and Puerto Rican film The Caller, the story of the film revolves around Yeo Woon and Yeong Sook’s calls. When Yeo Woon goes to visit her mom, she ends up exploring her childhood home again. In her home, she finds a mysterious decades-old cordless phone. And when she tries to call someone, a woman in great distress keeps calling for help. Yeo Woon finds out that a woman named Yeong Sook used to live in this house a hundred years ago. And in just a few more calls Yeo Woon and Yeong Sook formed a sort of bond while talking about all the wrongdoings of their mothers.
