For all the comic geeks out there, Amazon Studios is all set to release its upcoming series, Paper Girls. This series is based on one of the most popular comics of the 80s, the Paper Girls. For a long time, Brian K. Vaughan and Cliff Chiang’s popular comic Paper Girls was on the verge of becoming a Prime Video TV show. But now, it’s official, and this news has driven all the fans crazy. In light of this craze for the show, Amazon has officially released Paper girls first look images for the upcoming series.
This series is expected to be released on Amazon Prime Video on July 29th. Paper Girls is a strong self-portrait portrayed through the perspectives of four girls: Tiffany Quilkin, Sofia Rosinsky, Riley Lai Nelet, and Fina Strazza, who play Tiffany Quilkin, Mac Coyle, Erin Tieng, and KJ Brandman, respectively. Ali Wong, Nate Corddry, and Adina Porter play Erin’s grown-up equivalents, Larry and Prioress, respectively.

They face future versions of themselves as they travel between the current, the past, and the future and must now either choose to accept or decline their fate.

Amazon Prime Video has dropped a bunch of images of the series, and, oh boy, it’s really spicing things up. If you’ve never read Paper Girls or are unfamiliar with the comic, the show is still completely accessible, and you are really going to love it. Several pictures of the girls are shown in the photos, including one that appears to be taken around sunrise. That could be a reference to the comic’s disastrous morning.
Erin, Mac, Tiffany, and KJ, four paper girls, are out on their path as they become caught in the middle amongst warring time-travelers, altering individual lives. Transported into the future, these girls must devise a plan to return to the past—a voyage that will bring them face-to-face with adult versions of themselves. While they come to terms with the fact that their futures are very different from what their 12-year-old selves expected, they are pursued by the Old Watch, a militant group of time-travelers who have outlawed time travel in order to maintain power. The girls will have to overcome their differences and learn to trust each other and themselves in order to survive.
