One Piece Episode 1087 went on to adapt One Piece chapter 1059 from the manga and if it had been true to the source material, the episode should have adapted the whole chapter and not left only a cliffhanger. This chapter indeed covers this whole incident but there is a change in the adaptation process from this week.
We would not complain if this adaptation brought Toei Animation to add some additional scenes from their side of the story but rather they are very keen on adding repeated scenes and stretching some scenes that need not be
The rumors have it that the upcoming arc is going to feature this very phase and from what we can assume it is either going to be bad if they plan on stretching out every small scene or a good thing considering that the upcoming arc is filled with a lot of information.
