Goosebumps!! Luffy’s Gear 5th has finally been unleashed, and fans are super hyped for the upcoming episode of the show because this is where the real fight begins. That is also the reason why, the whole fandom is looking forwards to the release date of the upcoming One Piece episode 1072.
In the last episode, we got the Gear 5th, and we got Kaidour, we got everything in this episode, and we all know that One Piece has been hyping this episode up for a hot minute. This is not the entirety of the Luffy and Kaidou fight, but it is the huge huge huge introduction of Gear 5th and the Gomu Gomu no mi.
When the last released episode opens up, we see that Luffy is reviving, he is transforming into the Legendary Joyboy, because as we have seen in the last released episode, Zunesha started shouting. At the same time, he also mentions that he can hear the Drums of Liberation, for the first time in 800 years, and that is why he is sure that Joyboy has returned.
Along with that, when Luffy finally gets back to consciousness, he wonders what is happening to him and how can he still stand because for him he has already lost the fight, and at the same time started laughing, with the dope music.
The fun fact here is that we didn’t even see this manga, because in manga Luffy was ready to go, and I am so glad that they added this in the anime, and we also have this yellow light.
One Piece Episode 1071: Recap and Review
Later in the episode, we also see that Sanji also gets his consciousness back and wonders what Luffy is doing on the rooftop. At the Performance Floor, everyone including Kid, Law wonders what is happening above them with all that rumbling and lights.
Cut to Mary Geoise, we see the Five Elders talking about the sacrifice of Guernica, who was there to stop Luffy. We also see him discussing Luffy’s devil fruit where one of them says that the World Government has always tried to get ahold of the Gomu Gomu no mi, however, it never came into their hands, for 800 years.
The other also says that it is as if the fruit is evading them because that is not entirely implausible. Zoan Type devil fruits have a will of their own, and not only that the Gomu Gomu no mi bears the name of the God, because the alternate name of that fruit is The Zoan, Human-Human Fruit, Mythical Type, Model “Nika”.
In addition to that, we also find out that Nika has the exact property of rubber, which is why he can fight as he fancied and can make people smile. He is none other than the Warrior of Liberation, also known as the “Nika”, the Sun God.
After awakening the Gomu Gomu no mi, it gives its user’s rubber body even more strength and freedom, and that fact makes it the most ridiculous power in the world.
The fully recovered Luffy in his Gear 5th emits extremely powerful Haoshoku Haki, and as a result, many members of the Beasts Pirates are knocked down. Along with that, Luffy grabs Kaidou in his Dragon form and pulls him up, and this was when the most hilarious as well as amazing fight scenes of the anime begin because from now on, the Luffy x Kaidou fight is more like Tom x Jerry fight.
