Paramount+ Australia is set to release a thriller series called One Night with a stellar female cast, and we’re bringing you all the necessary information you should know before the show’s debut on that popular streaming platform.
Created and developed by Emily Ballou and under the direction lenses of Lisa Matthews and Catharine Miller, One Night will take us to the lives of three women and their past, and how one of them condensed their experiences into a successful novel that took the other two women by surprise.
As it turns out, the book contains a bunch of saucy, raunchy secrets that disrupt the lives of the trio, and things take a much darker turn after that.
One Night Preview
One Night tells the tale of three women whose unbreakable bond crumbled due to a fateful night two decades ago. Simone, harboring aspirations of becoming a novelist, has stashed away numerous unsuccessful attempts in the depths of her drawer.
Finally, at 40, she managed to write a story that had been in the back of her mind for many years. The story kicks off and ends up propelling her debut premium opus to great success;
The problem is that the contents of the book sum up very saucy, raunchy, and dark secrets about a night that the three women once had to go through, and instead of letting sleeping dogs lie, that shook things up and ruffled the feathers for the other two, as well a stirring things up in a once peaceful community.
But as the line between truth and fiction blurs, memories clash, and the book threatens to unravel their friendships, deep-rooted traumas —and their evident discontents— resurface in their tight-knit coastal community, who realizes that there’s more to the supposed fiction that the book narrates.
Thus, it ends up awakening those responsible who did their best to bury it all in a thriller featuring Jodie Whitaker, Yael Stone, and Nicole Da Silva.
One Night Cast
We have Jodie Whitaker (Doctor Who, Time) as Tess in the lead role. Joining her, we have Nicole Da Silva (Wentworth) as Simone and Yael Stone (Orange Is The New Black) as Hat. Rounding up the cast are George Mason, Erroll Shand, Damien Strouthous, Kat Stewart, and Noni Hazlehurst.
