Nintendo has expanded its presence at San Diego Comic-Con 2026 with a series of interactive experiences centered around the Nintendo Switch 2, giving attendees an early opportunity to play upcoming titles while celebrating one of the company’s newest releases. From hands-on game demos to themed attractions across downtown San Diego, Nintendo transformed Comic-Con into a showcase for its next wave of Switch 2 games.

The company also released official event photos through Business Wire, highlighting fans trying unreleased games, participating in multiplayer competitions, and exploring special Splatoon-themed activities. The event demonstrates Nintendo’s continued focus on in-person experiences as it builds excitement around its growing Nintendo Switch 2 lineup.

Nintendo Switch Sports Resort makes its U.S. public debut

One of the biggest attractions at Comic-Con is Nintendo Switch Sports Resort, which is making its first public playable appearance in the United States ahead of its October 22 release on Nintendo Switch 2. Visitors at The Pointe inside the Hilton San Diego Bayfront Hotel can compete in multiplayer matches throughout the convention, giving fans an early look at the upcoming sports title.

Nintendo’s official event photos show long lines of attendees waiting for the opportunity to experience the game, reflecting strong interest in the next entry in the Switch Sports franchise. The playable demo remains available through July 26, allowing Comic-Con visitors to test the game’s new activities before launch.

Splatoon Raiders takes over Comic-Con with themed attractions

Nintendo is also celebrating the launch of Splatoon Raiders, now available exclusively on Nintendo Switch 2, with multiple themed experiences across San Diego. At Nintendo’s Comic-Con booth, attendees can play the new treasure-hunting action shooter while exploring gameplay demonstrations and multiplayer sessions.

Outside the convention center, Nintendo partnered with BRISK® Iced Tea to create the BRISK x Splatoon Raiders Island Hideout in the city’s Gaslamp District. The pop-up experience features the Ink ‘n’ Aim Challenge, playable Nintendo Switch 2 demo stations, complimentary BRISK beverages, and exclusive co-branded merchandise available while supplies last.

Nintendo also introduced a Splatoon Raiders-themed trolley, allowing fans to travel around San Diego aboard a vehicle decorated with artwork inspired by the game. Together, the activations extend the celebration beyond the convention floor and give visitors multiple ways to engage with the franchise.

With playable previews, branded experiences, and city-wide promotions, Nintendo has made San Diego Comic-Con 2026 one of its largest public showcases for the Nintendo Switch 2 to date. The event not only offers fans an early chance to experience Nintendo Switch Sports Resort before launch but also reinforces Splatoon Raiders as one of the console’s flagship releases through immersive marketing and community-focused activities.
