Nintendo has announced its latest maintenance schedule for the week of July 26, 2026, confirming that online services for several popular Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 games will be temporarily unavailable. The planned maintenance affects multiplayer functionality and other network features across a number of first-party titles.
According to Nintendo’s official maintenance schedule, the maintenance begins on July 26 in North America and continues into July 27 in other regions. During this period, online play and network services will be unavailable for affected games.
The list includes major Nintendo titles such as Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, Pokémon Scarlet, Pokémon Violet, Nintendo Switch Sports, F-Zero 99, and Kirby and the Forgotten Land, including its Nintendo Switch 2 Edition where applicable.
Nintendo has also confirmed another maintenance window focused on Nintendo Switch Online services, which is currently scheduled for August 17–18, 2026. The company has not announced any gameplay changes or content updates tied to either maintenance period, indicating that the downtime is intended to support network service stability.
Players planning to use online multiplayer or other internet-based features during the scheduled windows should expect temporary interruptions until maintenance is complete. Nintendo regularly performs server maintenance to improve service reliability and ensure stable online functionality across its platforms.
