Nintendo has revealed the best-selling digital games on the Japanese Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch eShops for July 2026, showing which titles attracted the most players during the month. The rankings feature a mix of major Nintendo releases, new third-party launches, and popular ongoing franchises.
On Switch 2, Splatoon Raiders secured the top position, becoming the month’s best-performing digital release in Japan. The list also includes several newly launched titles, including Village in the Shade, Culdcept Begins – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition, and multiple versions of Digimon Story: Time Stranger.
Splatoon Raiders Leads Nintendo Switch 2 Digital Sales
The July 2026 Switch 2 eShop rankings were dominated by fresh releases, with Splatoon Raiders claiming first place. Nippon Ichi Software’s Village in the Shade followed in second despite launching late in the month, suggesting strong early interest from Japanese players.
Other notable entries included Digimon Story: Time Stranger, which appeared multiple times due to its different editions. The chart also featured major titles such as Pokémon Pokopia, Mario Kart World, Star Fox, Persona 3 Reload, and Mario Tennis Fever.

For the original Nintendo Switch, Rhythm Heaven Groove ranked first, followed by Ganbare Goemon Dai Shuugou and Powerful Pro Baseball 2026-2027. Long-running favorites including Minecraft, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake also remained popular.
