The movie was first released on November 16th, 2021 with Robert Johnson being the scriptwriter for the film. The cast of Night Night includes Nick Marini as Robert Mitchel, Taylor Gray as Jax Davis, Deric Augustine as Detective Sheppard, and Adam Budron as William Swain. Robert and William are two guys that April is interested in at the beginning of the movie. William is April’s coworker while Robert is a one-night stand that April eventually gets into a relationship with. As the movie goes on, we see that people who April thought she could trust were the ones that she needed to be wary of.
Night Night: What Happens In The Movie?
At the beginning of the film, we see April hanging out at a party with her coworker, William. He tries to convince her to stay and have more drinks but she refuses as she has to drive back home at night. Before going home, she stopped by the lawyer that was responsible for guiding her and her brother, Jax Davis on how their parent’s property would be divided since they had passed away in an accident.
Jax is a drug addict and his addiction usually causes him to have problems with his sister. During the meeting, Robert texts April continuously. She eventually sets out for home and texts William during the drive. Meanwhile, we see a woman driving the same way with two kids in the backseat. She is trying to get ahold of her husband, Jessie Steele, who has left her and her family alone. With April blasting music and taking selfies and the woman crying, they eventually crash into each other. The Steele family dies on the spot.
April is fatally injured but she somehow manages to survive the horrific accident. Robert shows up at the hospital and claims he’s April’s boyfriend when Jax asks who he is. He also suggests Jax leave for the UK for his future and that it’s what April would have wanted. When April is finally conscious after 5 months, she is surprised to see Robert staying by her side the whole time. They head back home and he gifts her a mobile and a new desktop. April and Robert start living together but something keeps troubling April.

Night Night Ending Explained:
After Robert’s (Jessie’s) death, April is seen recovering from the trauma and starting a new life with Grant. She is charged with killing the Steele family but receives a suspended sentence instead of going to Jail. Jax returns from the UK and reveals that he had gotten himself involved in a huge problem, but April refuses to help him. She returns home and turns on the computer to use the website once again. This time, she enters the address of her home and is shocked to see the Steele family standing in front of it.
When Grant shows up at April’s home, she is nowhere to be seen. He hears a noise from the basement and goes to investigate. The door automatically closes and we hear a man’s screams. Robert comes out of the basement and is seen living in April’s house with his family. The ending showed that Robert had returned to take revenge for his family’s death but we are not given any conclusion on what happens to April and Grant. What we see is his ghost haunting the Davis mansion with his family.
Despite showing potential in its storyline, we do see plot holes frequently in the film. For instance, Robert was cheating on his wife at the beginning of the film, but when he finds out that April killed his family, he suddenly feels the need to hold April responsible and kill her for something accidental. Both April and the woman were equally responsible for what happened as both of them were using their mobiles at the time of the accident.
Robert would also have had a hard time concealing his identity being the CEO of Techsoft. Nonetheless, Night Night was able to portray its intended feelings of revenge although it might not have been most logically done. At present, Night Night is available to be rented or bought through Amazon.
