In the latest trend index of 4th generation female idol groups compiled by Rankify for the 5th week of April, NewJeans emerged as the undeniable frontrunner, amassing a staggering 173,998 points and securing the top spot. This impressive achievement reflects a remarkable increase of 164,047 points compared to the previous week.
The heightened public interest surrounding NewJeans, fueled by ongoing discussions about conflicts involving Min Hee-jin, ADOR’s CEO, and HYBE, combined with the anticipation of the group’s upcoming comeback, has contributed significantly to their dominance in the trend index.
Following closely behind in 2nd place is LE SSERAFIM, accumulating 59,339 points and experiencing a notable increase of 19,689 points from the previous week. In 3rd place, IVE garnered 16,583 points, marking a rise of 4,135 points compared to the prior period.
The trend index also sheds light on NewJeans’ fan demographics. The group’s popularity spans across various age groups, with individuals in their 20s representing the largest segment at 28%, followed by those in their 30s (26%), 40s (21%), 10s (14%), and 50s (11%).
Furthermore, an analysis of gender preferences reveals a balanced fan base for NewJeans, with 48% male and 52% female supporters. LE SSERAFIM closely mirrors this balance with 47% male and 53% female preferences, while IVE shows a slightly higher female preference at 58% compared to 42% male.
