Netflix’s live-action One Piece Season 4 may begin filming as early as December 2026, according to a message seemingly shared accidentally by a French convention organizer. The potential production update has quickly caught the attention of fans because it could provide the first indication of when the Straw Hat cast is expected to return to the set after Season 3.
The information comes from People Convention, which is organizing The One Con in Paris on November 21 and 22, 2026. The event will feature One Piece cast member Taz Skylar, who plays Sanji in Netflix’s adaptation.
One Piece Convention Message Hints at December Filming
According to the screenshot shared online, People Convention explained that the event was taking place exactly two months before the cast would return to filming.
The message reportedly stated:
“With the cast returning to set shortly after the event, our options for bringing them together were particularly limited.” This has led fans to interpret the statement as an indication that production could resume in December.
The wording does not explicitly name Season 4 or provide an exact filming date, so the December production window should currently be treated as an apparent leak rather than an official Netflix announcement.
The timing would make sense given the production schedule. Netflix has already confirmed that One Piece Season 3, titled One Piece: The Battle of Alabasta, is scheduled to arrive in 2027. Production on the third season wrapped in June 2026 after filming in South Africa.
If Season 4 does begin filming in December, the production could potentially move forward while Season 3 remains in post-production.
For now, Netflix has not officially announced a Season 4 filming date. Fans will likely be watching closely for any further confirmation following The One Con.
