Another light novel is making the jump to anime. My S-Rank Adventurer Daughters Have Serious Father Complexes (S Rank Bōkensha Dearu Ore no Musume-tachi wa Jūdo no Fathercon Deshita) has officially been confirmed for a TV anime adaptation, continuing the growing trend of popular light novels finding new life on the small screen.

The Anime Announcement

The TV anime adaptation was announced by the series creator, Kametsu Tomobashi, who shared the news over the weekend. The announcement marks a major milestone for the fantasy series, which first gained attention as a web novel before expanding into a successful light novel and manga franchise.

To celebrate the announcement, original light novel illustrator Tsubame Nozomi and manga artist Shunichi released special commemorative illustrations featuring the series characters. Their artwork gave fans an early look at the excitement surrounding the adaptation.

The announcement was also confirmed by major anime news outlets, including Anime News Network and Crunchyroll. However, key production details, including the animation studio, main staff, voice cast, release date, and premiere window, have not yet been revealed.

What Is My S-Rank Adventurer Daughters Have Serious Father Complexes About?

Rather than focusing only on action, the series tells a heartwarming fantasy story centered on family. It follows Kaiser, a legendary S-Rank adventurer who retires after rescuing three orphaned baby girls from a destroyed village and chooses to raise them as his own daughters.

As the years pass, each daughter grows into an exceptional adventurer. Elsa becomes a skilled swordswoman, Anna develops into a talented strategist and business manager, while Meryl proves herself as a gifted mage, making the trio famous in their own right.

Despite their impressive achievements, the daughters remain deeply devoted to Kaiser. Their over-the-top affection for the father who raised them creates the comedy that defines much of the series while balancing its fantasy and family-driven storytelling.

The Series Journey From Web Novel to Anime

Kametsu Tomobashi originally began publishing the story on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō web novel platform in 2019. Its growing popularity eventually led publisher Overlap to acquire the series for print publication as a light novel.

The franchise continued to expand with a manga adaptation illustrated by Shunichi, which launched on Overlap’s Comic Gardo website in May 2020. Both versions have maintained a steady release schedule and built a dedicated fanbase over the past several years.

The upcoming TV anime marks the next major step for the franchise, bringing the story to a wider audience after establishing itself across web novels, light novels, and manga.

What Fans Can Expect Next

The project is still in its early announcement stage, so fans will need to wait a little longer for more information. The production team has yet to reveal the animation studio, voice cast, staff members, or an official release window.

Announcements about casting, teaser visuals, trailers, and broadcast plans are expected in the coming months as production moves forward. These updates will provide the first real look at how Kaiser and his daughters will appear in animated form.

Until then, fans can revisit the original light novel and manga while waiting for new details. With the adaptation now officially confirmed, My S-Rank Adventurer Daughters Have Serious Father Complexes is set to join the growing lineup of fantasy light novels making the jump to television anime.
