My Lovely Boxer: Synopsis
The drama tells the story of a female boxer, Lee Kwon-sook(Main Lead), who was also known as a genius prodigy, but out of nowhere, just before her final match, she disappeared, and the whole nation was in shock about the incident. There was no reason for someone who was this talented to vanish so suddenly.
Even though many people tried to connect and reach her, there was no sign of her. The starting of the drama itself evoked the curiosity of the viewers; it aroused many questions: What made her do that, and is there any suspicious person who caused all the chaos?
On the other, Kim Tae Young (Male lead) has a rotting character in the beginning. He is a sports agent who exploits the rookie sports enthusiasts for his own good, and although he deep down cares for his athletes, he makes their lives hard by training them day and night so that he can make a good amount of money from them which also involves match-fixing.
Baseball player Kim Hee Won, who was also under his agency, was like a dear friend and family to Tae Young. Kim Hee Won was involved in some heated controversies. Kim Tae-young, although he seems tough from the outside, he genuinely thinks of his athletes.
The situation revolved in such a manner that to save his friend Kim Hee from all those controversies, Tae Young had to bring the young female athlete back to the sports industry.
Eventually, Tae Young found her and again offered her to come back to the sports industry. Tae Young had ulterior motives, and to follow his same old tactics of making money from his athletes, he persuaded Kwon Sook to make a comeback. But this time was an exception. While Tae-Young was training her, they both started to fall for each other.
As the drama continues, we can see a change in Tae-Young’s personality, and fans are anticipating to see how their chemistry evolves with time. As the show has already released 9 episodes to date, fans can sense a warm and comforting relationship between the leads.
