It is performed by raising one’s inner body temperature, thereby concentrating as much heat as possible, and then releasing it all at once in the form of an incredibly strong burst. While developing the move, Endeavor realized that he had reached the limit of his potential, so he wanted his child to continue with this legacy.
Meanwhile, in the ongoing fight, Dabi raises the temperature at an alarmingly high rate. He claims that he has been preparing for this day for years, and now that he has come this far, nothing can stop him. He remembers his childhood days when he started training by copying his father. “You have got more talent than me,” those words from Endeavor made little Touya think that he could do anything. Yet things didn’t go the way he wished, and he blames Shoto for that.
Dabi keeps insulting his brother and even calls him a shameless failure. Adding salt to Shoto’s injury, he reminds him how special he was supposed to be. “You can never be a hero,” these are Dabi’s last words before blasting Shoto with Flashfire Fist from a point-blank range. Just when we think everything is over, Shoto blocks the attack with his bare hands and nullifies all the heat that Dabi generated. He further counters his brother with an improved version of Flashfire Fist and forbids him from threatening innocent lives ever again.
