Star of My Big Fat Fabulous Life, Glenn Thore did not behave morally when he kept his illegitimate child, Angie Vincent, a secret from his daughter, Whitney Thore. The reality TV show has had a number of significant and unsettling incidents since it debuted in 2015.
However, the show this year took a completely unexpected turn due to multiple disclosures involving Whitney Thore’s father, Glenn Thore. The first several episodes of Season 11 told Whitney and her brother Hunter Thore that their father had dated someone else before he married their mother. They learned that Glenn had a girlfriend and that the two of them had a daughter.
The drama began when Whitney’s aunt Kim posted Whitney’s DNA results on an ancestry website. After discovering a match in her profile, Cody, claiming to be connected to his mother, Angie, got in touch with her. Though shocked by the revelations, Kim took some time to find out more. Ultimately, she came to the conclusion that Glenn’s brother, not her own, was the mother of Cody.
Whitney, upon discovering this momentous discovery, turned to her father. In an episode, Glenn told the entire story and confessed to being Angie’s father. Somewhere in the Pensacola area was where Glenn was serving when he first met Angie’s mother, Jackie.
The two young people had an instant connection and started a romance that was reminiscent of the romantic comedies seen in vintage spy movies. Glenn and Jackie had a brief but intense romance. Still, their relationship ended because of the American man’s work, which kept him apart from her.
Jackie and Glenn had a brief romance that ended suddenly. He had no idea she was expecting his child. Glenn learned that Jackie was expecting a child while he was in Japan. He was unable to intervene because of his job.
When Jackie’s mother discovered that her daughter was expecting, things became awkward. Not sure what to do next, she put her adolescent daughter in a girls’ home. The girls’ home gave birth to Jackie and Glenn’s daughter, Angie, who was soon given up for adoption.
The baby was raised in a comfortable setting after being adopted by a different family. My Big Fat Fabulous Life’s seventh episode of season 11 features Whitney, Hunter, and Glenn visiting Angie and her family in Alabama. They instantly welcomed each other as family and became close friends.
Angie also acknowledged Glenn’s role as a dad. She did, however, clarify that she simply refers to Bill, the man who raised her, and would not call him her “dad.”
