MILLENNIUM PARADE has released the official music video for “Blue,” the ending theme song of The Ghost in the Shell, the latest anime adaptation of Masamune Shirow’s manga. The song features Saya Gray and Daniel Caesar, bringing together three artists for a track that serves as the series’ musical closing statement.
The music video arrives after the song’s digital release on July 8, 2026. Fans can now experience the full track alongside the anime’s visual identity, while a separate creditless ending video is also available.
Daiki Tsuneta Explains How the Song Came Together
Blue was developed over several years, with its origins in a studio session between Daiki Tsuneta and Saya Gray. Daniel Caesar later joined the project, helping complete the collaboration.
In a comment shared through the anime’s official website, Tsuneta explained that the song began “three years ago in the studio with Saya” and was completed when “Danny, whom I met while traveling, joined the project.” He added that he was excited for listeners to finally hear the full version.

How “Blue” Fits Into the Anime’s Music
MILLENNIUM PARADE’s involvement in The Ghost in the Shell extends beyond the ending theme. The group previously performed music for Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045, while Daiki Tsuneta is also a member of King Gnu, the band behind the new anime’s opening song, “GO GHOST.”
The opening and ending themes therefore connect the new adaptation to artists who have already contributed to the franchise’s musical history.
King Gnu’s opening music video was released earlier in August, and the series’ creditless ending video featuring “Blue” was also made available during the anime’s broadcast period.
