FX Fighter Kurumi-chan has attracted attention for an unusual reason. Instead of opening its premiere with the typical anime disclaimer or immediately launching into its story, the series begins with an extensive warning about the dangers of foreign exchange margin trading, making its financial subject matter impossible to overlook.

The anime premiered in Japan on October 1, 2026, and is streaming internationally on Crunchyroll. The series follows college student Kurumi Fukuga, who enters the volatile world of FX trading after her late mother leaves behind a 20 million yen loss that Kurumi becomes determined to recover. The premise puts financial risk at the center of the story rather than using it as a minor plot element.

The Anime Warns Viewers About More Than Losing Money

The disclaimer shown before the first episode specifically identifies forex margin trading as a high-risk activity. It warns that losses can exceed the amount initially deposited and that excessive trading could interfere with a person’s everyday life.

The warning also addresses the use of high leverage and overseas forex brokers. According to Japan Anime News powered by ORICON NEWS, the notice advises viewers to exercise caution with brokers that are not registered with Japan’s Financial Services Agency.

It also tells prospective traders to carefully read pre-contractual disclosure documents and understand their contents before deciding whether to participate.

The unusually detailed warning has drawn attention because the anime is specifically built around the very activity it cautions viewers about. Rather than presenting FX trading simply as an exciting way to make money, the opening makes clear that the series will also explore its potentially destructive consequences.

Kurumi Enters a Volatile Financial World

The story begins when Kurumi decides to try FX trading to recover the money her mother lost. Her determination quickly places her in a market where profits and losses can change rapidly.

The official FX Fighter Kurumi-chan website describes Kurumi as a 20-year-old university student who is capable of careful analysis but can become overwhelmed when markets move sharply.

The anime is directed by Yuki Ogawa at Passione, with Kenta Ihara overseeing series composition and scripts, Kazuyuki Ueda handling character designs and Takuro Iga composing the music. A specialist FX supervisor, FX VTuber Rion, is also credited on the production.

The first episode is currently available on Crunchyroll, with the English dub releasing alongside the Japanese version.
