Nintendo Switch 2 owners looking forward to Metroid Ravenous can currently save $10 on the physical version of the upcoming action-adventure game. The standard physical edition is listed at around $59.88–$60, below its expected $69.99 regular price, giving players an opportunity to secure a copy before the game launches.
The discount is particularly notable because Nintendo’s digital releases have traditionally been priced below their physical counterparts in some cases. Retailers have occasionally matched the lower digital price during the pre-order period, but the physical edition is expected to return to its standard price after the promotional window ends.
Metroid Ravenous Physical Pre-Order Drops to Around $60
The current discount brings the physical Metroid Ravenous pre-order price down to approximately $60. The deal is available at Amazon, while Walmart is offering a similar $10 discount, with the game listed at $59.88 compared with its standard price of $69.99.
The promotion applies to the standard physical release rather than the Special Edition. Nintendo’s Special Edition includes the physical game, a SteelBook case and a Samus (Metroid Suit) amiibo, making it a separate offering.
Nintendo officially lists Metroid Ravenous for release on January 28, 2027, exclusively for Nintendo Switch 2.

Metroid Ravenous returns to the 2D format following Metroid Dread, but introduces a darker survival-focused mechanic. Nintendo says Samus becomes stranded on an unfamiliar moon after an ambush and must explore its underground labyrinth while developing new Metroid abilities.
A major gameplay feature allows Samus to devour enemies and absorb their energy, reinforcing the game’s “eat or be eaten” concept. She will also face five Space Ninjas responsible for the attack, with Nintendo promising close-range battles alongside traditional weapons and exploration.
With its January 2027 release approaching, the current physical discount gives Switch 2 owners a chance to pre-order Metroid Ravenous for roughly $10 less than its expected standard retail price.
