ATLUS has opened pre-orders for the Nintendo Switch 2 version of Metaphor: ReFantazio, giving players another opportunity to experience the acclaimed fantasy RPG on Nintendo’s latest console. Alongside the pre-orders, ATLUS has also launched a new character trailer series, with the game’s protagonist serving as the first featured character.
Originally released in 2024, Metaphor: ReFantazio became one of ATLUS’ most successful games. It earned a 94 Metacritic score and won Best Role-Playing Game, Best Narrative and Best Art Direction at The Game Awards 2024. The RPG also became ATLUS’ fastest-selling title after moving one million copies on launch day.
The game follows players through a troubled fantasy kingdom on the brink of collapse, where they must overcome fear, build relationships with allies and determine their own fate. The Nintendo Switch 2 version launches November 12, 2026.
Metaphor: ReFantazio is also available on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC, Steam, PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4.
