Any story becomes more interesting to watch or read when there is a hint of mystery wrapped around it. In anime, you may find many stories like these. For a long time, the Detective Conan series has been providing us with not only interesting stories but also intriguing characters. These characters have, thus, won our hearts throughout the series. Meitantei Conan, better known as Detective Conan or Case Closed, is adapted from a manga written and illustrated by Gosho Aoyama. The first chapter of Detective Conan came out in 1994. Being one of the longest-running manga, it is still going on with its end just around the corner. The anime adaptation was first released two years later, in 1996. Like the manga, the anime series, too, is ongoing. Thus, so far, we know that the franchise has been blessing us with content for many years.
This, however, does not stop there. Meitantei Conan received a spin-off in the year 2018. This spin-off was created by Arai Takahiro. It is called Detective Conan: Zero’s Tea Time or Meitantei Conan: Zero no Tea Time. Although not created by the creator of Meitantei Conan, he is currently supervising the creation. The anime was set to air in the month of April 2022 and has already released its first episode. Fans have since then been anticipating Meitantei Conan: Zero no Tea Time Episode 2, which will be released very soon!
Meitantei Conan: Zero no Tea Time Synopsis
The spin-off doesn’t focus much on Conan since it has a new protagonist who is equally interesting. Detective Conan is an anime that focuses on the story of Shinichi Kudo, a high-school detective. Unfortunately as well as fortunately, after being poisoned by a lethal poison, instead of dying, he is turned into a child. This leads him to investigate and solve many cases along with friends. One of the friends Conan makes is Rei Furuya.
Meitantei Conan: Zero no Tea Time tells us the story of Rei Furuya. Rei’s character first appeared in the Detective Conan series. He was seen as a detective with the name Tooru Amuro who also works as a waiter. Another time he made an appearance as a member of the Black Organization under the name Bourbon. Thus, the anime will focus on his three personas. There will be many recurring characters from the Detective Conan series.
