The Kingdom of Cairon is a prosperous country. However, to preserve the sovereignty of a Country like Cairon, the Empire decided to track and destroy any evil enemies which posed a threat to the Holy Empire.
The superhuman cult of the Nox Of Yipon was destroyed, and the only other threat left was the witches of Tempey. The Witches are difficult to locate, but after a long search, Sir Macklart, the great protector of the Holy Empire of Cairon, encountered the leader of the witches of Tempey, the Grand Witch called Vienie.
Rumor had it that she had crimson-colored eyes. If someone looked at them, they were to be bewitched by her and get forever entrapped. Sir Macklart brushes aside these superstitions to destroy the witches, but he is surprised when the Grand Witch herself offers to destroy her own kind with his help.

May You Reach A Sacred Place Chapter 30: Recap
Chapter 30 of May You Reach A Sacred Place shows Vienie standing on the edge of a cliff with a bruised and battered limb. She was right next to Macklart, who was shocked to see her fall off. She was about to drown in the river, but someone picked her up and saved her. Vienie assumes that Macklart is only upset because his useful pawn has died.
Judging by the color of his eyes, it looked like he was a Nox. Turns out Macklart has not killed all of the Nox. Vienie remembered seeing the man’s face near the mass grave and Rave castle. Vienie, under the alias of Ennie, tells him that her mother was killed by Sir Macklart, and she barely escaped. She asked for his help.
The scene shifts to Vienie talking to him as he tells her that she will be welcomed into his group with open arms. She was a good asset because they were able to win against foes with the information Vienie provided.
However, every time Vienie did so, her body was always bruised and injured. She tells him that she is only repaying the dues to save her. This was the last time she was going to help him, after which she planned on vanishing.
Meanwhile, Sir Macklart is still searching for Vienie. It had been an agonizing year for him because he still remembered her. After she vanished, the High priest suspected that Macklart might have deflected from the Holy Empire, so to test his faith, he was tortured every day.
However, after a while, he gets discharged to kill the witches of Tempey again. He vows never to make the same mistake again.
