The singers’ Brand Reputation Rankings for the month of April are out, and while we can mostly observe familiar names on the list since March, there have been a lot of changes in the rankings. Nevertheless, some artists have still been able to hold their positions firmly! Brand Reputation Rankings are released every month by the Korean Business Research Institute, determined on the basis of the media coverage, interaction, consumer participation, and community awareness indexes of the singers in South Korea analyzed using the data collected from March 23, 2022, to April 23, 2022. Well, BTS is still leading the chart at the top, but the second entry is definitely a powerful one. Here is a complete list of the top ten singers’ April Brand Reputation Rankings.
On the easier side, the rankings simply convey how impactful the artists have been in a particular month. The one who tops the chart is considered the most popular one with a fierce score in every field mentioned above.
1. BTS
Definitely not surprised. Here stands BTS again at the top of the list, maintaining their spot at the first place in the rankings! With a reputation index of 10,896,707 points, the score has shown a jump with a total of 14.26 percent increase since the previous month. They are dubbed as the most popular and influential K-pop boy group for a reason, of course! April has been a productive and hectic month for the boys, who had lately been busy with their eye-popping performance at the Grammy Awards and a four-day concert in Las Vegas. 2. Big Bang

While BTS continues to dominate the April singer brand reputation ranking, Big Bang has recorded a brand reputation index of 9,163,979, taking up the second spot! This month has been a little special for the Big Bang fans who had been anticipating the long-awaited comeback of the group from a hiatus of four years. Although his music career began in 2016, he rose to immense popularity in South Korea after beating 1700 participants in the competitive audition show, ‘Mr. Trot’ in 2020. The 30-year-old singer is going to drop his long-awaited debut full-length studio album on May 2, 2022. Lim Young Woong is widely known across the nation for being the artist who took the responsibility of making trot music popular. 4. (G)I-DLE
With a brand reputation index of 5,263,775 in the month of April, (G)I-DLE has occupied the fourth spot in the rankings. Last month, the brand reputation index of the girl group was 3,206,271, which, if we compare with this month’s score, we can see a rise of 64.17 percent! Beating popular K-pop girl groups like ‘Twice’ and ‘aespa,’ (G)I-dle has taken over the rankings this time among the female K-pop artists. The girl group has made a comeback this year with their first-ever full-length studio album, ‘I Never Die’. Moreover, Miyeon is going to make her solo debut in the K-pop industry with the extended play, ‘My’ on April 27, 2022. 5. IVE
The rookie K-pop girl group IVE has made waves by raising their brand reputation index to 3,990,877, reflecting an overall 237.94 percent increase since the last month! They have recorded the highest peaks on Billboard’s Global 200 as well as Global Exclusive U.S. charts among all other fourth-generation groups. The potential future leaders of K-pop music IVE are already making a mark in the music industry with their unique concepts despite their lack of experience. Their second single album, ‘Love Dive,’ with the lead single of the same name, which was released on April 5 this month, went completely viral on Tik Tok. They received their first music show win barely a week after their debut, which makes them the fastest girl group to do so.
6. IU
The K-pop soloist and actor IU has garnered the brand reputation index of 3,910,382 in April, indicating a fall from the last month’s score of 7,196,000. She has stepped down to sixth place from second place in the April brand reputation rankings. One of the most respected and admired female K-pop artists, IU is still successfully retaining her dominance on music charts and brand values even after changing her style of music a handful of times throughout her fifteen years in the music industry.
Other than her achievements in the music field, IU is known to be a remarkable actor who has showcased her acting skills in shows like ‘My Mister’ and ‘Hotel Del Luna’. 7. Im Chang Jung

The 48-year-old K-pop veteran has released 17 full-length albums in his thirty years of music career and is the only Korean artist to have songs ranking number one on music charts in all three decades. Im Chang Jung has given us countless hit songs, including ‘Soju Hanjan,’ ‘The Love I Committed’ and ‘Im Chang Jung Ballard’. He is going to perform live on June 4, 2022, at Pechanga Resort Casino, SoCal.
8. Lee Chan Won
Trot singer Lee Chan Won stands at the eighth position on the list of April brand reputation rankings with a score of 3,552,459. Last month, he made it to the top five of the list with a reputation index of 4,592,393, beating (G)I-DLE and Seventeen. The 25-year-old K-pop soloist is known well for having golden vocals and a charming personality. He has been a significant part of numerous television shows, including ‘Racket Boys,’ ‘Mama the Idol’ and ‘Mulberry School’.
9. Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon
One of the most influential K-pop idols, Taeyeon from Girls’ Generation, has scored a brand reputation index of 4,133,803, reserving the ninth position on the ranking chart. Her latest music work includes her third studio album, ‘INVU,’ as a soloist, which was dropped on this year’s Valentine’s Day. The song topped several domestic and international music charts, thus receiving the appreciation it deserves.
