Men and women come together in hopes of finding lasting love, exactly like all of the other dating shows. Love Island also brings couples together, puts them through challenges, and forces them to decide if they want to be together till the end or not. Let us check out the contestants of the second season and where they are now.
Filmed and released in 2020, this season of Love Island was shot in Las Vegas, Nevada. The rules are the same, meaning that the contestants could talk to each other, had to share the same bed, could text each other, and find for themselves “the one” among the thirty-one contestants.
They could form couples but, at certain intervals, would get an opportunity to decide if they want to be together with the same partner or change things up. Those who stay together till the end of the show as a couple win the show.
A fun twist that the show introduces at the end is when the winning couple gets one envelope each. One of the envelopes has a hundred thousand dollars, and the other is completely empty.
It is the choice of the one with the money if they want to share it with their partner or not. A test of their bond, nerve-wracking for them and really exciting for us.
Justine Ndiba & Caleb Corprew
The two came together around day 12 of the show and were stuck with each other till the end. The two had strongly bonded and even won the show, taking the hundred thousand dollars home with them.
Though the viewers loved the duo enough to vote for them and to make sure they won the show, the couple revealed that they had broken up.
Only four months after the show had ended, they had parted ways, with Caleb putting up a video to confirm the news, all the while revealing that they had not been in a relationship for some time.
The two had, apparently, tried the long-distance thing, but clearly, it did not work out all that well.
Justina is working as an influencer and has even modeled for brands like Shein, Fashion Nova, and Actively BLACK. She was featured on The Challenge: USA, where she was placed third. Caleb also chose a similar career trajectory.
He has worked for popular brands, including Bacardi, Hyundai, Bearbottom Clothing, ARC, and others.
Cely Vazquez & Johnny Middlebrooks
The runners-up of the show, following right behind the winning duo, Cely and Johnny, had been with each other since day two of the season.
And while we thought that the two shared something special, they ended up announcing their break up just four months after the finale.
Cely appeared on The Challenge: USA, but she did not last for long, after which she moved on to modeling and singing. She has released music videos on YouTube and has even worked with brands like Reebok and Nordstrom.
Johnny has expressed a desire to pursue acting as a career and has been active in reality shows like All Star Shore and The Challenge: Ride or Die. He has put out music videos for his fans and has modeled for brands like YoungLA, Nova Men, and BoohooMan.
Moira Tuman & Calvin Cobb
The two had a rocky relationship, which suffered heavily because of a controversy at Casa Amor. But they managed to push through till the end, coming up third in the show.
But like almost all of the other couples, these two announced their separation sometime in November 2020.
Like the rest, they have managed to establish successful modeling careers for themselves. Moira has worked with brands like Nike, Loreal Paris, The Good Patch, and others. Moira has a passion for acting, and you can spot her small roles in shows like Gossip Girl, Younger, and Billions.
Calvin seems to have taken a break from the industry, which is obvious from his social media, where he can be seen enjoying his life surfboarding, traveling, and attending concerts. You can spot him in The Perfect Man magazine and Narrative magazines as a model.
Laurel Goldman & Carrington Rodriguez
Following the lead of all of the other couples, these two announced the end of their relationship, which, according to them, just could not be worked out from what we Lauel is presently in a happy relationship with the love of her life, though Carrington’s love life is a secret.
Laurel has turned to a career that requires no actual qualifications except for being pretty.
She is active as an influencer and has even modeled for brands like Forever 21, Shein, Princess Polly, Selfie Leslie, and others. Carrington is known to have moved to Utah to pursue a modeling career from there.
You can find his work with brands like BoohooMan, Jack Wills, Playboy, and others.
