The first half of the episode was about the practice match between the aforementioned high schools. The boys were unsure about the practice match with the elites of the Futsuba, and it sure had an impact on their game. The matches were distributed into three types. Two singles and one double with the captain of Yokohama.
The match between our main protagonist Mizushima and his opponent was going well until it wasn’t. It ended up in Mizushima losing the match however, he learned from the player that they are not adding one plus one into two, and Mizushima thought about it all day long. Meanwhile, one more single match between the captain of Yokohoma and an opponent from Futsuba also ended up in a loss. To restore the pride of Yokohoma, it was up to the strong duo Yusa and Yoko.
However, it seemed like they were also having a hard time. It seemed like that Yoko had sprained his ankle and could not keep up with the ace of Yokohoma Yuso. Futsuba’s duo started targeting Yoko and called him a weak link. This enraged Yuso to take the match all on his own, and he evened the score with the opponent’s team. This inspired Yoko to even harder, and with him on the defense, Yusa, and Yoko won the match.
Yoko’s foot and Yusa reason to join Yokohoma
It turned out that Yusa joined the Yokohoma high school for one sole reason, and that is because he was in love with Mizushima’s elder sister Rika. Apparently, Rika is the Goddes for the Yokohoma’s Badminton High School and helped the team a lot. Mizushima was hesitating to tell players about his sister, but only Yusa knew about it. Meanwhile, Yoko got his foot checked and is all ready to play in the Interhigh tournament.
Although, Yoko also tells everyone that he is Yusa’s weak link, and he is doing everything to be the best defender and a player to play with Yusa equal. Whereas, the captain takes away Mizumisha’s concern about one plus one not being added to two by working hard.
