Lost In The Cloud Chapter 77 opens up with Cirrus standing in front of his mother Han Jaehee’s grave when suddenly her auntie approaches him. Cirrus goes along with his auntie in her car and they begin talking. She tells him that she always thinks of his mother this time of the year even though she doesn’t visit her that often and so she was glad that she met him this time.
Cirrus’s auntie asks him a lot of questions about his college, his life, his height and the relationship between his father and stepmother. Cirrus replies to everything with a faint smile but he couldn’t help remembering how his auntie left him that day.

When Cirrus was a kid, his auntie left him out of the blue one day and only left a note for him. Kid Cirrus cried and called the phone number mentioned on the note but it turned out to be a fake. He kept trying to call the fake number until the other person forced him to stop. Tears fell on the note in his hand and he eventually realized that he has been abandoned. His Auntie still keeps talking even though he doesn’t pay much attention and then she shows him his school. Looking at the school unlocks more memories for Cirrus. The focus shifts to a 3rd-grade Cirrus sitting in his teacher’s office.
Cirrus’s teacher goes through his journal and sees that Cirrus has mentioned Yang Ri-in a lot in it. Cirrus asks if it’s wrong to mention her but his teacher replies that he was just hoping to see something related to Cirrus’s parents and other friends in the journal but Cirrus doesn’t seem to write much about that stuff. His teacher asks him what he’s going to do for children’s day as everyone is supposed to write a report about what they’re going to do with their family and share it with their class.
Cirrus replies that his dad is always busy with his work and he only has one friend Ri-in but she also doesn’t want him to meet her in class as people will think that they are in a relationship. Ri-in is also busy hanging out with other girls after school so Cirrus decided to not bother her anymore. The teacher gets sad and shocked to hear Cirrus’s story and ends the discussion.
Cirrus returns home and finds it empty as usual. He approaches his pet parrot to give it a snack but it refuses to eat it. This pet parrot named Angjoo was bought by Cirrus’s stepmother to keep him company but over time the bird became stubborn and refused to eat anything if Cirrus was the one feeding it.
Cirrus who is already suffering from people ignoring him all the time, gets angry at the parrot and starts shaking its cage violently until someone enters the room and stops him.
