The news is indeed disheartening because, for one who loves anime, every element of the series become important. For us otakus, only characters are not everything, everyone associated with it is very special. After all those living human beings are the ones who brought us the wonderful anime that we fall love in with. Scriptwriters are those important people who help a manga series to take the shape of a moving anime.
Hiroo Matsuda did this kind of a great job and has been making people happy for so long. He was a great presence in the anime industry and it was very heartbreaking for Toei Animation to announce this sad news. About Hiroo Matsuda
Hiro Matsuda was born in 1933 in Kyoto, Japan. His initial education is unknown, as for his higher he is graduated from Kyoto University in 1958 from the Department of Literature. Just after his graduation, he joined the Toei Animation Studio and began to work as an assistant director. He was initially appointed at the film studio and he work there for a while. Later, in 1962 he was transferred to the planning department of Toei Animation. From that year onwards, we started his journey as a scriptwriter. He began to work on his projects and in 1969 he began writing scrip for the live-action “Vampire” that was based on “The Vampires” by Osamu Tezuka.
He continued working on this till 1969 but in between, he began to work on “Gaint Robo”. In 1967 Matsuda began working on this television anime that ended in 1968. Other than this, he also worked on some love-running live-action series such as “Playgirl”. Matsuda also worked on some anime films like “Pride: Unmei no Toki”, “Jingi no Hakaba or Graveyard of Honor”, and” Tengoku no Taizai”. Further, we got “Gray Sunset of Hanaichimonme”, “Shaso”, “Sonogo no Jinginaki Tatakai” and a lot more. The works mentioned above are just a few of many of his remarkable works that are super cool in their own way.
Live-Action Vampire, Gaint Robo Scriptwriter Hiroo Matsuda Passed Away
The very heartbreaking news of Hiroo Matsuda’s passing away was announced by Toei Animation on Friday, 1st April 2022. It was announced that Hiroo Matsuda – the popular scriptwriter at Toei – passed away at the age of 88 years on 24th March 2022. The reason for his death was reported to be malignant lymphoma. The news made a very gloomy atmosphere among the fans and all the admirers. Not just this the whole anime industry is also in utter shock as most of them visited the family of Hiroo Matsuda. Since yesterday, there was all the discussions regarding the same among the fans. All the online anime community expressed their grief and condolence towards his family.
