British tennis player Liam Tarquin Broady was born on January 4th, 1994. Calum is Broady’s brother, and Emma is her sister. Additionally, he is Naomi Broady‘s younger brother, another tennis star. The Broady family was raised in Heaton Chapel, Stockport, where they were both born and raised. Liam and Naomi’s parents, Shirley and Simon, took them to tennis events.
When Broady was four years old, he started playing table tennis, and his parents enrolled him in tennis classes at Matchpoint in Bramhall.
He began competing at the age of eight, and by the time he was 10, he was beginning to show great promise. He attended Priestnall School, where he completed his GCSEs in 2010, as well as Norris Bank Primary.
The Lawn Tennis Association cut off financing for his sister Naomi, who was 17 years old at the time, in the year 2007 as a result of her “unprofessional” social networking posts. Due to his outrage at this decision, Liam’s father, Simon, removed the thirteen-year-old from the LTA program.
Simon downgraded from the family home and moved into a little red brick terrace in order to pay for their travel and instruction. Simon turned down the LTA’s offer to resume their sponsorship two weeks later, so they carried on with their training at the Mouratoglou Tennis Academy on the outskirts of Paris.

In the Boy’s doubles competition at the 2010 Wimbledon Championships, Broady and Tom Farquharson defeated fellow Britons Lewis Burton and George Morgan.
The duo became the first British team to win the championship in 1995. Broady advanced to No. 2 in March of the year 2012 in the junior combined world rankings.
In 2012, Broady decided to accept help from the LTA, which caused him to become distant from his father, and the two did not speak for a period.
Once he got back to Stockport, Liam stayed with his sister Emma. In November 2015, Broady stopped receiving LTA support in order to rebuild his connection with his father. Then, he was able to support himself by renting his own flat in Stockport’s Heatons district.
