Yong has undone his seal and has taken it upon himself to awaken the possessed Emperor. The master of the Northern Blade, Mu Won, has fallen into the temptation of the blade that wants to break every boundary, regardless of his stature as martial. But Yong will stand in the way of Mu Won in Legend of the Northern Blade Chapter 173.
It was all so random, Mu Won was on his way to go out on a mission when his blade started singing. It was less of a song and more of a curse, a curse directed toward Jo Un-Kyung. And the sword wanted nothing more than to cut down the man for the crimes that he had committed to her in life.
When the Fantasy Series protagonist got to the man in question, he was horrified to see the figure in front of him. He knew Jo Un-Kyung, but the person in front of him was someone else. It was clear that Jo Un-Kyung had given up on his humanity and was no longer the person he once knew, and it was then he started giving in to the sword.
Spoilers
Legend of the Northern Blade Chapter 173 will be the continuation of the fight that was hinted at in the last chapter. At this point in the story, Mu Won has lost his sense of being and is at the mercy of the blade he wields. He had wished to make the world a better place through just the use of Martial Arts, but he is about to break that vow.
However, Yong was there at the scene to stop him from making a mistake. Yong, like many people, has come to learn what kind of person Mu Wong is. And like most people, he had been impressed by the feat that the leader of the Northern Blade practitioner had pulled.
And it is for those reasons that Yong decided to interfere in the fight, endangering his life by doing so. However, it does seem that he has a trip up his sleeve that would help him go on par with the MC and help him gain control.
Recap

Also, the body in front of him wasn’t Mu Won’s but his, with his head severed and fallen away from it. It was then that he realized how the battle had gone and how Mu Won severed his head.
