On the February 2 installment of KBS2’s ‘The Seasons – Lee Hyori’s Red Carpet,’ Lee Hyori openly admitted her fondness for lip-syncing.
During this episode, Park Myung Soo made a special appearance and, upon entering, performed his song “Prince of the Sea.”
Park Myung Soo, who had consistently hosted music radio programs, shared, “I’ve been doing radio for 10 years. One reason I continue is that coming out every morning, talking with listeners and the production team, and broadcasting itself make me happy.” Then he joked, “I’ll die in the radio station booth and stay there until the end.”
In a sincere tone, Park Myung Soo, unrelenting since his debut, conveyed gratitude, stating, “I was desperate. Lacking skill, fueled by greed, I’m thankful to have come this far. I continue living with that mindset.”
Within the show, Park Myung Soo showcased his musical talent by performing “When Time Passes.”
After the performance, Lee Hyori asked Park Myung Soo, “I’m really curious. Why do you cover one ear?” In response, Park Myung Soo candidly confessed, “I saw Lee Seung Chul Hyung do it. A long time ago, the equipment wasn’t so good so you had to cover your ear to hear yourself.” He continued, “Lee Seung Chul Hyung was the first to do this (covering one ear). I followed him and now it’s become my habit.” He then joked, “When people see me (cover my ears) they ask me if I my ears are bad.”
Park Myung Soo elaborated, saying, “I never used in-ear monitors and sang live. Lip-syncing was my go-to.” Lee Hyori chimed in, confessing, “I, too, enjoyed lip-syncing,” evoking laughter. She added, “Nowadays, no broadcasts allow lip-syncing. All idols sing live exceptionally well.”
