In episode 2 of “Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear Punch!” Fina wakes Yuna up for her first day as the escort for the students of the Royal Academy for their outdoor field training. At the Royal Academy, Yuna meets Ellalaura, Shia’s mother, who had recommended her as the escort since she was well aware of Yuna’s abilities. Even so, Yuna is reluctant to escort young nobles since she believes they will be snotty and entitled.
Ellalaura calls in the other three students she will be escorting along with Shia, namely Marix, Timol, and Cattaleya. They are instantly bewildered by Yuna’s appearance and her overly cute bear suit and question her credibility in acting as an escort. They even demand to see Yuna’s guild identification card and are shocked to see her level. They think that Yuna is a rich noble who bought her rank, and she is not actually that powerful.
Yuna and the students, along with her bears Kumayuru and Kumakyu, begin their journey to the village where they are supposed to deliver the grains. Yuna asks her bear to warn her about any beasts, and Yuna tells the other students about the goblins that are approaching them. After traveling the entire day, they stop in the forest to rest during the night. In the meantime, Cattaleya and Shia had become attached to Yuna’s bears.
