Koei Tecmo has reaffirmed its commitment to the Nintendo Switch 2, confirming that ports for the console will continue to play an important role in its publishing plans. The announcement comes from the company’s latest financial results, where it outlined its strategy to diversify revenue by balancing major releases with mid-sized games, remasters, and Nintendo Switch 2 ports.
According to Koei Tecmo’s latest financial results, the publisher intends to strengthen its lineup through a mix of new titles and ports for Nintendo’s newest console. The company stated that it will focus on “major titles” while also expanding its catalog with “mid-range titles, remasters, and Nintendo Switch 2 ports.”
Koei Tecmo has already established a strong presence on the platform. Nobunaga’s Ambition: Awakening Complete Edition launched alongside the system, while Wild Hearts S and Dynasty Warriors: Origins have also arrived. Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is scheduled to release on Switch 2 in September, with upcoming games such as Blue Reflection Quartet, Wo Long 2, and Fatal Frame 2 Remake also planned for the console.
Although the company did not announce additional ports, its continued emphasis on Switch 2 support has fueled speculation that franchises like Nioh could eventually make their Nintendo debut.
