The most recent romance novel based in the Joseon period is Knight Flower. Jo Yeo-hwa is a widow by day and a loving daughter-in-law. Her in-laws are unaware of her Robin Hood identity, though. She helps the underprivileged and punishes criminals while on the streets at night as a masked vigilante.
However, her well planned routine is in jeopardy when she has an unplanned run-in with an inspector. Inspector Su-ho is an upright official who follows the law but yet shows his feelings freely. His only goals are to be accepted by his adopted brother and to bring the vigilante with the mask to justice.
In addition to Lee Jong-won as Inspector Par Su-ho, Honey Lee, also known as Lee Ha-nee, plays the primary role of Jo Yeo-hwa. Other well-known faces in this group include Yoon Sa-bong, Jo Jae-yoon, Lee Ki-woo, Park Se-hyun, Yoon Sa-bong, and Kim Mi-kyung.
Recap
Knight Flower Episode 9 makes it clear that the K-drama is nearing its conclusion and isn’t going to be slowing down anytime soon. Seok is openly threatening individuals and getting rid of them; he is no longer masking his darker side. However, this also makes him untidy because there are now enough others who can expose him.
But since Seok isolates Yeo-hwa at the end of her fictitious letter, it is illogical. Unless, that is, she has a plot twist that makes Seok believe that she would be in deep sadness. In addition, as Jeong would probably be aware of the gifts left for Yeo-hwa rather than Su-ho, wouldn’t it be a plot twist if Jeong.
Knight Flower’s ninth episode opens with Su-ho and Yoon-hak showing up. Yoon-hak taunts him and calls him out for losing his fan before going to the meeting place by himself. Su-ho, however, enters quickly after hearing Yeo-hwa threatening Yoon-hak. As they all recognize one another, chaos breaks out, with Su-ho pushing Yoon-hak when she tries to remove her disguise. She bolts, leaving Yoon-hak perplexed.
Jang tries to stop her as she is in Myungdo waiting for Su-ho. She doesn’t want them to meet in case Su-ho and Yeo-hwa fall in love and cause trouble for Yeo-hwa. When Su-ho shows there, he informs her about his real father, Im Kang, and how his situation is related to Soong-ho. Yeo-hwa consents to see Yoon-hak once more.
Man-sik, meantime, is determined to kill Su-ho before Seok discovers he is still alive, but Pil advises wait. Yoon-hak connects the dots between Yeon-sun and Su-ho’s protection of the same individual and Su-ho’s acquaintance with the Masked Lady. He becomes agitated and confronts Su-ho about Yeo-hwa’s identity as the Masked Lady.
