Kim Jae Won and Jeon So Young may soon share the screen in a new romance film.
The two rising actors have received offers to headline “Da Capo” (literal title), an upcoming youthful romance directed by Lee Eon Hee.
On October 2, a media outlet reported that Kim Jae Won and Jeon So Young had been cast as the leads of the upcoming movie.
However, production company SHOWBOX clarified that the actors have not officially confirmed their appearances yet and are currently discussing the offers.
“It is true that we have offered the roles in the film ‘Da Capo’ to actors Kim Jae Won and Jeon So Young, and they are currently in the discussion stage,” SHOWBOX stated.
If both actors accept their respective roles, “Da Capo” will bring together two performers who have been steadily gaining recognition through their recent projects.
‘Da Capo’ Marks a New Youth Romance From Director Lee Eon Hee
“Da Capo” is described as a youthful romance drama that will be directed by Lee Eon Hee.
The filmmaker is known for projects including Love in the Big City, Missing, and The Accidental Detective 2: In Action.
The upcoming film is expected to explore romance and youth, although detailed information about its storyline and the characters potentially played by Kim Jae Won and Jeon So Young has not yet been revealed.
According to additional reports, the movie is being prepared for production, with filming expected to begin in the second half of 2026 after casting is completed.
Showbox is also set to handle the film’s investment and distribution.
The project has drawn particular attention because Kim Jae Won and Jeon So Young both received Best New Actor/Actress recognition at the 5th Blue Dragon Series Awards earlier this year.
Their potential collaboration would therefore bring together two newly recognized talents for a romance project.
