Legal Issues Between Kevin And Kysre
Kevin Porter Jr started playing for Oklahoma City Thunder after serving Huston Rockets but came under the spotlight for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend, Kysre Gondrezick. His court case took place in Manhattan Criminal Court.
Reportedly, Kysre accused Kevin of repeatedly punching her in the face and choking her till she struggled to breathe on 11 September 2023. The incident occurred behind the closed doors of a suite in the Millennium Hilton New York Hotel.
Fortunately, Kysre escaped the room. According to the prosecutors, the hotel staff found her bruised and bloodied. Her neck vertebra was fractured, and she got a deep cut over her right eye. The former case was proved by the doctors of NYU Langone Medical Center.
However, Kevin’s prosecutors acknowledged that the assault did not result in a fracture, dropping the case. Kevin blamed the policemen and Manhattan District Attorney’s Office for these inaccuracies.
Kevin’s prosecutors could not prove his innocence for overall assault. So, he has been charged with third-degree assault and second-degree strangulation. The case is not as simple as it looks.
Some sources say that Kysre insisted to the court he never punched her face multiple times. The allegations were not true, and he did not hit her. According to her, she did not have injuries to prove it. She said the DA’s office did not wait for enough reports and statements from her before publicizing the allegations.
According to Kysre, she and Kevin only had a verbal fight in a room that lasted only ten seconds. Talking about the medical reports, the cops overheard the doctors talking about the potential reasons for her injuries.
Kysre does not want to publicize such details regarding her relationship, though she and Kevin are basketball players. Reportedly, she does not know about the future of their relationship and wants to concentrate on her career as of now.
Kevin had reportedly crashed his car into Kysre’s car a long time ago and was charged with gun and multiple firearms possession in 2020. The charges were dropped later. He silently left the court after getting a bail of $75,000 regarding Kysre’s case. He must appear in court on 27 November.
Meanwhile, Kalabrya Gondrezick, Kysre’s sister, threatened Kevin on Instagram to make him incapable of walking again if he touched her sister. His father, Bryan Kevin Porter Sr, was once charged with the first-degree murder.
Kevin will not be allowed to play again in the NBA if proven guilty because the league became strict against domestic violence over time.
