Kent, the British director behind Testament of Youth and The Secret Diaries of Miss Anne Lister, is gearing up for his next project, Stolen Girl. According to Variety, Kate Beckinsale, Scott Eastwood, and James Cromwell are set to star in this kidnapping drama based on the true story of Maureen Dabbagh, an American woman’s relentless search for her kidnapped child.
The screenplay comes from Rebecca Pollock and Kas Graham, known for Last Passenger and Expecting Love. The film will be produced by Andrea Iervolino, Monika Bacardi, Frida Torresblanco, Scott Lambert, and Luca Matrundola. Stolen Girl is set to start production in Italy with an estimated budget of $25 million.
Producer Iervolino expressed excitement about shooting in Apulia, stating, “I’m thrilled to be shooting once again in Apulia, a versatile land that I love and that always manages to cater to our needs.”
