KartRider Rush+ is accelerating into its next chapter with the launch of the Season 40 Mechanic 2 update, bringing a wave of fresh content for players across Android and iOS. Released by NEXON on July 23, the update continues the storyline introduced in Season 18 Mechanic while introducing new karts, racers, pets, tracks, gameplay systems, and limited-time events. The latest expansion focuses on a revitalized mechanical city, offering players more customization options and additional progression opportunities through both racing and Rushmoor Farms.
The update arrives as KartRider Rush+ continues to build on its reputation as one of the leading mobile arcade racing games. Combining easy-to-learn controls with competitive multiplayer racing, the game has attracted both casual and dedicated players worldwide. According to NEXON, Season 40 Mechanic 2 is designed to deliver even more variety through new racing content and side activities, while rewarding players with exclusive cosmetics and permanent characters throughout the season.
New mechanic-themed karts and racers headline Season 40
The biggest additions in Season 40 Mechanic 2 are the new mechanic-inspired vehicles and playable racers. Players can unlock Flare Viper and Venom Viper as the latest Speed Karts, alongside Ingenuity and Steel King Crab. Several new Item Karts also join the roster, including Aircraft Carrier, Steam Locomotive, Electro, and Roller, giving players additional choices for competitive and casual races.
The update also expands the game’s character lineup with five new racers. Riley, Technician Naiad, Sailor Tiera, Mechanic Ethen, and Steampunk Bazzi all arrive with the new season. Completing the themed additions are two new pets, the Maple Spirit flying pet and Mechameow, which continue the update’s mechanical aesthetic.
NEXON described the update as bringing
“stormy races to the mechanical city that has awakened once more,”
highlighting the season’s unique visual theme and expanding storyline.
Aquarium mode introduces a new progression system
Beyond racing, the update significantly expands Rushmoor Farms with an entirely new Aquarium feature. Players who reach Rushmoor Farms Center Level 20 can unlock the system, allowing them to raise Sea Beasts and complete weekly Aquarium missions.
These activities reward players with Star Coins, which can be exchanged for exclusive resources and newly introduced buff items. Sea Beast feed earned through missions can also improve Sea Beast statistics, increase Coin production, and expand the Aquarium by raising additional creatures. The new progression system offers another way to earn rewards outside traditional races while encouraging long-term play.

New tracks and limited-time events offer exclusive rewards
Season 40 also introduces additional race tracks. Starting August 7, Fun Summer Vacation (Beach) becomes available in both Speed and Item modes, while Afternoon Break (Castle) joins the game as a new Speed Track.
NEXON has also scheduled several time-limited events to celebrate the update. Through August 23, players can collect Watermelon, Ice Cream, Donut, and Lollipop shards in multiplayer races to unlock Sailor Tiera (Permanent).
Another seasonal event runs until September 16, allowing players to spend Season Coins in the Season Exchange for rewards including Grassy Rabbit Naiad (Permanent), Buggy Turtle (Permanent), and Track Star Tiera (Permanent).
Meanwhile, from July 24 to July 26, Aquarium celebration events grant a 50% boost to EXP and item quantities, while Rushmoor Farms restaurant dish sales receive a 50% Coin revenue increase. Players can also earn Batteries, Secret Keys, Sea Beast feed, and ranch feed based on Aquarium growth and mission completion through September 16.
KartRider Rush+ Season 40 Mechanic 2 is available now as a free update for Android and iOS players worldwide.
