Neverness to Everness (NTE) is preparing to celebrate its half-year anniversary with new story content, a playable character, and an anime music collaboration. Developer Hotta Studio and publisher Perfect World Games have announced that the second half of Version 1.4 will launch on October 21, 2026, bringing players back to the supernatural city of Hethereau for a school festival storyline and additional rewards.
The update’s main attraction is Akane Rin, a guitarist at Livehouse StarSign whose mysterious history as an Anomaly Hunter adds another layer to her character. Players will also reunite with The Whoots!!!! in a new story that culminates in a performance of “God knows…”, the iconic song associated with The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya.
The anniversary celebrations will provide players with 2 million Fons and a special Akane Rin outfit. The update follows Version 1.4’s first half, which introduced a Porsche collaboration, the Pukaland theme park, and playable character Blackbird.
AKANE RIN BRINGS HER GUITAR AND ANOMALY HUNTER PAST TO NTE
Akane Rin joins the playable roster with three new outfits, including the anniversary-exclusive “House Special” costume. Although she currently works part-time as a guitarist at Livehouse StarSign, her former life as an Anomaly Hunter remains a key part of her backstory.
Her musical abilities will also have a role beyond the new story. Players can take out Akane Rin’s guitar and perform music while exploring Hethereau, adding another interactive activity to Neverness to Everness. The update gives players a chance to learn more about her history while experiencing her character through both combat and music-related features.
The second half of Version 1.4 introduces a school festival storyline centered on The Whoots!!!!. Players can reconnect with the group as its members prepare for a new performance and continue their story.
The collaboration features “God knows…”, the well-known song from The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. The track originally became popular through the anime’s performance sequence featuring Haruhi Suzumiya. NTE’s new collaboration brings the song into the game’s school festival festivities.

Players can watch the official “God knows…” collaboration trailer for a preview of the performance.
Players can claim 2 million Fons and Akane Rin’s “House Special” outfit when the second half of Version 1.4 begins. The anniversary campaign also includes 20 Solid Dice through the seven-day Circle Gifts login event and a special Version 1.4 gift.
The Puka Membership Program offers further rewards after players reach City Tycoon Level 16. These include two S-Class Standard Character Selection Boxes, one S-Class Standard Arc Selection Box, three outfits, and additional cosmetic items.
The first half of Version 1.4 launched on September 30 with the Pukaland theme park, playable character Blackbird, and the game’s second Porsche collaboration. Players can explore Pukaland’s four zones, try its rides and minigames, and drive vehicles including the Porsche 911 Turbo (930) and Porsche Taycan Turbo GT with Weissach Package.
The second half of Neverness to Everness Version 1.4 launches on October 21, 2026, across PC, Android, iOS, PlayStation 5, Steam, Epic Games Store, and Mac, with cross-platform support.
