Yuta realizes that Yuta’s cursed energy output doesn’t match with Ryu’s blasts in his maximum power. So, the only way out is to attack Ryu rapidly before he reaches his full power. On the other hand, Ryu has more than 400 years of practice. He can read Yuta like an open book and adapt his cursed technique accordingly. Knowing that Ryu has the upper hand in long-range fights, Yuta swiftly advances toward him, thereby narrowing down their distance.
He deflects Ryu’s Granite Cannon using Takako’s cursed technique. It seems that Ryu is late in realizing that Yuta’s true potential is to copy anyone’s technique instantly after witnessing it. Before Ryu can react, Yuta launches the Thin Ice Breaker blast from a point-blank position. The fight goes on for a while till Ryu gets caught up in his own Granite Cannon.
