Things will be picking up once again in the story as the supposed competition for Jaekyung has jumped ships and gotten himself Potato. No, no, the potato in question is not the vegetable to have fun with it or the phone. The character Potato from the series was introduced a few chapters before Jinx Chapter 36.
But both Potato and Heesung, the K-Pop Celebrity, turned out to be false alarms and were just there for a short run, a little bit of misdirection. However, the inclusion of these two characters as a sideship will be important in the upcoming chapters. However, their relationship would be explored sometime after Kim Dan and Jaekyung have reached their conclusion in the relationship.
And speaking of the two, it looks like their relationship will continue to be a tug of war, as seen in the recent chapter. Jaekyung can be very dishonest, especially with himself, and doesn’t know what is good for his mind. He only shows his emotions when he is pushed to some sort of edge in the mind, which is not often.
It doesn’t help that his drive makes it difficult for him to lose or reach the point where he is mentally pushing. This makes his growth as a character even more difficult for him to open up to others and come to a resolution. However, his investment in Kim Dan has made his soft side open up a little, but only a little.
Jinx Chapter 36: The Tale So Far
The story up to Jinx Chapter 36 and earlier can be divided into two parts, one main arc and the other being the side stories. The main arc was about establishing a relationship between the two characters by using Kim Dan as a damsel in distress. The main source of his distress is his life and then Jaekyung, who took benefit of it.
Jaekyung thought of Kim Dan as a pushover, and Doc’s financial situation only made it easier for him to exploit him. It could be that Jaekyung is sick of his assistants running off and finding a new one every few months. Kim Dan was the final solution for his problems, as he could never run away due to the debt he owed him.
Now, it is not that Kim Dan owes him anything legally, but it’s his character being exploited. Yes, Kim Dan is a thing that is exploited in his whole life, and he would take on everything. That is his character’s fault and a thing that even Jaekyung spits on his face as a fact.
However, throughout the chapters, he has shown that he can stand up for himself and hit back when needed. The problem is that it happens only when his grandma is on the verge of death or something along those lines. The guy doesn’t care what happens to him in the process, but that has started to change, albeit a little.
Jinx Chapter 36: What to expect?
We will see some sort of scandal arc begin in Jinx Chapter 36 as news of Jaekyung’s injury circulates in the country. Things have been rather quiet in the recent chapters of the Yaoi manhwa; nothing serious or threatening. Just two new characters are introduced as threats to the status quo and then shipped together with each other.
While some might be angry that Heesung didn’t get to be with Kim Dan for his genuine care and attachment to the doctor. But anyone who reads romance plots in any media must know by now that the first ship is the main ship. No matter what medium it is, the main focus is going to be those two, no matter how many characters are introduced later.
With that aside, the next chapter will see how the relationship between Kim Dan and Jaekyung will be affected by this. We don’t currently know who the leaker in this scandal but this won’t be dragged on for too long. The one this series is good at is its ability to get over things fast and create character drama.
