In the August issue of Kodansha’s Good! Afternoon magazine, it was revealed on Friday that Mizuki Takano’s Ja no Michi (The Snake’s Path) manga will conclude in the magazine’s next issue on August 7.
The manga follows two friends, Momo and Tatsu. When Momo, as a child, gets lost in the mountains and encounters dangerous snakes, Tatsu comes to his rescue. This incident sparks Tatsu’s obsession with immortality, believing that killing many snakes will grant him eternal life.
Despite being considered odd by others, Momo continues to support Tatsu. However, a single misunderstanding leads to a fierce conflict between the friends, culminating in an unexpected battle that forces them to abandon their families and ordinary lives.
Takano began serializing Ja no Michi in Good! Afternoon in May 2023. Kodansha published the manga’s first compiled volume on November 7, followed by the digital release of the second volume on March 7.
