Jordan Belfort, played by Leonardo DiCaprio, exists in real. Talking about him, he is an entrepreneur, speaker, and also recorded as a financial criminal. In 1999, he admitted his crime related to finances and also about running a boiler room as one of the parts of the scam of the penny stock. In addition to this, his journey in building up his brokerage firm, Stratton Oakmont, was showcased in the film. In the later period of the 1990s, it was closed as he was imprisoned for his crimes and fraud acts.
Jordan Belfort was highly addicted to drugs, more precisely, cocaine. In The Wolf Of Wall Street, his real-life incidents, like money laundering, crashing a helicopter, etc., were showcased.
